So I finally got my car running right, and put in the mecca of boost controllers the avc-r. And ofcourse my clutch went out.

So. Here is the question.

I know that a NA 300 zx clutch will fit in there on a stock rb25det flywheel. I have that in it right now. I am looking for suggestion on non $1000 clutches since I am not a baller.

Here is a company that my roomie used for his sr car. That i hate too say is probably quicker than my car. His works great, so I figured I would tell/show/question the clutch and see what you guys thought of this company and new product.

He is using the stage five, dual feramic with an upgraded pressure plate, i think the SS one listed below the options.

FE SeriesStage 5

its listed under import, 300zx that is does up to 590hp. I have a stock set up. but really dont want to do another clutch so this i feel should be good thru the upgrades i will put on.

You do have to eat your wheaties before you drive his car, but hey, thats not a problem in my book. Also

side question, is there a part number that anyone has for a throwout bearing for the rb. If I remember right the z32 one didnt work. Thanks again.

SOUTH BEND CLUTCHES ARE THE ****! i have one on my RB25DET and my friends got one on his Z31, no matter what we do....we have yet to have it slip. If you get a SBC DXD you'll be satisfied. I got the Stage ii i belive, that cryo treated. for 289 in a group buy of Z31Performance.com, but that was awhile ago .

The clutch holds near 510 ft-lbs of torque, and has stock pedal feel and engagement. Its a kevlar disc so you dont have to worry about it glazing over.

BTW, a Z31 N/a OR Turbo from an 1984-1986 will fit without problems, im also rocking the RB20 Jspec 9.5 lb flywheel.

Stock pedal feel, very free revving, and reliable, what more can you ask for?
