I have researched this alot, and I want to know what the best clutch I should use,I am running a t25 around 8 psi,and I am undecided between a spec stage 3,Act 6 puck or a stage 3 zoom. There is so many partials threads about this but I want to know what the fellow Kat guys are using not the sr guys or the rb guys.

I'm gonna have to say RPS too..

I personally have the ACT Extreme pressure plate with a Carbon Metallic sprung disc, but it doesn't really have that much more pedal 'feel' than say a RPS stage 3 or so. It holds just fine, but the lack of pedal 'hardness' kinda makes me uneasy when I do clutch-kicks at 5k RPM's...

Spec 3 with their steel fly wheel. That thing is awesome, grabs like nuts and retains stock feeling ..

RPS all the way. You don't have to get the bad boy, the sport plate and street disc are fine for the power you have.

I've ran a zoom in a stang, held good, I have no first hand experience with them in an import. Spl parts has the RPS in stock.

Yeah, forgot about SPEC. They are decent and haven't heard anything bad about them as far as the KA goes. Enjuku Racing has them in stock, and has pretty good deals on them. And they are a sponsor.

seems that RPS is winning the major vote but personally, I just asked this same question on a thread a few months ago. I ended up going with the SPEC stage 3+ (485 ft-lbs). You may consider this overkill for your setup but if you ever upgrade....you wont regret it. if you dont ever upgrade, you still wont regret it...catch my drift? I have learned to always go with overkill (of course to an extent) because there is nothing worse then having to make purchases twice, three or four times, unless you have endless pockets! Now, back to the clutch question, I like the SPEC and my only complaint would be pedal feel......a little mushy but I may need a new master or something. Point: I would still recommend the SPEC 3+. My $.02 ....also. if you get it make SURE you get it from ENJUKU, they are the best and so are their prices.

I like the SPEC feel because it's so similar to stock and yet it holds the aformentioned "crap ton" of torque. SPEC FTW....

The spec feels alot like stock in a 240? It felt like my king cobra did when I had one in my c5. My RPS feels very nice. My friend has a centerforce in his s13 and it feels like a honda because of the weighted pp., I don't really care for that.

I am also in the market for a nice clutch and i agree with ace0073 if your goals are high and your expectation are high go with quality parts right off the bat.

But I am starting to lean towards the Spec Stage 3 from enjuku but my next question would be should i go with an Fidanza flywheel or go with the Spec flywheel. The prices are really close, the Spec being only 20 bucks cheaper. So, which one is better with a Spec Stage 3 clutch and can I hear some experiences with setups with different flywheels.

THANKS GUYS!!!

I have a Fidenza only because SPEC didn't make one when I bought the clutch assembly.

Both flywheels are quality pieces man. Neither is going to yield any noticeable difference to the driver. So it's a matter of opinion and price...

I'm always a fan of buying parts made to work together, IE SPEC clutch and SPEC flywheel.

i think it would depend on what you want. If you want the lightest flywheel, they get the lighter one..but if they are identical in weight, then I'd suggest going with the same brands like WD mentioned. Either one, it will work fine.
