How many of you are using the RB cluster versus the KA cluster? I read that someone might have gotten the tach and speedo to work correctly on the KA cluster, but don't know if this is true...

I chose to use the skylines. I like the look the the skyline cluster over the KAs. Just seems a lot cleaner. Just got to get used to the km/h.

is it mckinneys that might of made or is making the adapter to get the whole stock cluster working?

I am using the stock KA cluster and yes Mckinney motor sport has the adapter for the speedo to work. They are in work for the tach signal for the KA. I am using the Power FC commander for the Tach untill they finish the converter.

KA Tach. My speedo works good. My tach reads half higher. Aftermarket tach. I think sincwe we sued the KA and RB lower harness and KA speed thing, we got the speedo to work.

I'm using the KA cluster. To get the speedo to work, I just used the KA's speed sensor instead of the mechanical RB one. For the tach I just transplanted the tach from the RB cluster into my KA cluster. Works like a charm :) This did require some modifiying of the RB tach (mainly the clear plastic crap behind it) so don't do it hoping it's a direct replacement ;)

RB cluster, I also like the look of it better. I got everything BUT the speedo to work, no speed sensor(Trying the KA sensor though) Will update you once on the road.

THE R32 CLUSTER DOES NOT DROP INTO THE DASH YOU NEED TO CUT, THE EASIEST WAY TO DO IT IS SWAP THE JDM TACH OVER TO THE KA CLUSTER (WHICH I HAVE AND IT WORKS FINE)

Is all your McKinney "wiring" working? (as in the Tach and Spedo?) I'm assuming you mean the adapters?

Has anyone ever tried using a autometer tach adaptor? I think there is a chance of this working if you run it off of the motor like you were going to use one of their tachs, then splice the signal into the factory tach. Of course all theory, but it might work. It adjust the signal some how... you can calibrate their speedo's... so this might work.

What do you mean cut? Cut what? I am looking to do an RB25DET into my 93 hatch and was thinking of using to R33 cluster, but it seems really difficult. Also does anyone have any pics of the cluster swap?

THE DASH SKELETON NEED TO BE TRIMMED AND THE TABS ON THE CLUSTER NEED TO BE EITHER CUT OFF OR CUT SHORTER. YOUR ALSO GOING TO NEED TO WEDGE THE CLUSTER IN BECAUSE IT IS SIGNIFICANTLY WIDER.

I'll be doing an RB swap soon. Is it possible to get the McKinney wiring done but retain the RB cluster? (and how much do they charge...can I keep AC too?)

I think the question of pics is being avoided but oh well don't mean to sound like a d$%k any kind of help as to the pics or diagram or directions would be helpful.
