what cause motor rock hard after turn ignition off and car idles up and down?

what causes the motor to rock hard after turning the ignition off? what about when you start the motor, the car idles up and down? any help please?

it could be any number of things. if you're dealing with an oscillation in your idle, check the vac and the mafs circuit.
