Competition for the G is usually the likes of the Lexus IS350, BMW 335 series, Acura TL-ish, Caddy CTS, etc....

I usually compare it to the space shuttle or some kind of deep space exploration craft...

Mustang!!

I think audtatious got it. When shopping, a lot of folks look at both the TL and the G Sedan. We did. I wanted the G, wife wanted the TL. Was to be her car, so was about to pull the trigger on a TL, until she drove the back to back. The test drive showed her which was a better driver. Nothing against the TL, I like hondas over toyotas....but, I've seen several threads here generated by ex-TL owners that have traded for G's due to quality issues.

also, they didn't want to drive a $35,000 luxury I don't consider the TL a competitor to the G, as the TL is FWD and hond@ based. Not to mention how hideous the new one looks.

This is true!!!! For us (car freaks)!!! But, there are a lot of consumers that don't know the diff. between FWD and RWD.

Oh my! How sad... I wonder if boats will eventually come to be FHD? That would be silly.
