ok im 17 and i still drive my parents cars...im about to be a senior and im looking for a car to call my own....i have about 7500 cash and my top 6 cars or the ones im most interested in are the 94-99 integra gsr/ls....the 91-93 240 sx .... 95-98 240sx ..... 92-96 prelude... 97-99 prelude.... or the 95-99 maxima i know a lil bit bout each of the cars but not much....what i want to acomplish buying one of the 5 cars is....exterior looks...and some kind of speed....fast enough to beat some...or even most of the cars on the road...i dont want to have a nice looking car then it cant beat anything out thier.....i know u can get a cheep 93 240sx and get an engine swap...but how fast is the quarter mile times with that swap....and im scared if i buy that car that the electronics are so old ill have to replace everything so im leaning twards the newer 240.....but then thiers the integra and prelude both are more reliable than nissian..and i know the prelude si and the integra ls can handle turbos...if i go that way...but im jus wondering wut car would give me enough speed to beat most cars out thier and witch would give me the most relieability cuz i dont want to keep fixing a broke down car......i need a car soon and i really dont want to buy something that cant do wut i want it to .....post quartermile times if u have them...and 0-60 times...

Well reliability shouldnt be an issue depending on the mileage. Nissans are my favorite but I also respect the other cars on the list. They are all reliable. I have a few questions.

1) What do you want more FF or FR?2) How much power do you want to make?3) Do you care about low end torque?4) Will you care for a back seat?5) What swaps are you looking at for the 240? Im guessing the SR20DET so which one S13 or S14?6) How much are you willing to spend on any of these cars?

Once you give me some feedback Ill voice my opinions.

-------------------------------------------------------My advice to you is to not post the same thing twice in two sections of the forum. One of them is probably gonna get deleted.

I think both the Honda's & Nissan's are VERY reliable...The big dif is RWD vs. FWD...

As a true sports car, there is only one choice RWD!However, everybody has there own tastes...Test drive them all and see what you like for your own tastes...Being a young driver, don't not to worry about racing or top speed so much, get to be a good driver and learn about your car...Its no fun if you get a bunch of speeding tickets or worse...Get in a wreck...Good luck/skill.

Don't the H22's(prelude) and B18's(integra) both have high compression ratio's making it bad for turbos?

Well you could lower the compression a bit. And for the for sale stuff, look to the left of the screen at the links to the different NICO forums. Its under the NICO General Forums and it says Cars/ Trucks For Sale in orange.

for you i'd say the 97-99 prelude or the 95-98 240sx, and you are on a nissan/infiniti website so people are pro-nissan

The 97-99 Lude is definately a great choice. It would be so much nicer if it was RWD. I still say the Max or S14 though. Not because Im a Nissan lover, but because Im no sure about the insurance on a newer gen Lude. It might be expensive. My insurance as a partial driver under my parents isnt too bad. The 240 is pretty cheap as well.
