Hey everyone,Does anyone know if there are compatible add-ons for the factory alarm with iKey option? I did a search, but just about all the alarm questions are about problems with aftermarket installs.

When I had my GTI, I was looking at add-ons, such as the DEI 508d Proximity Sensor and 516U Voice Warning modules. Wanted to see if there was anything like those available for the factory V alarm.

To the contrary, I don't think it's an alarm system at all by definition. Granted, my car doesn't have the iKey, but the "security" part of the system should not differ between the two models.

The alarm did NOT go off, despite my window being broken and the door opened without either the key or the fob.

Actually... I should correct that. The alarm DID go off.

36 hours after the break-in occurred.
