What can the motor hold?

sorry, i didnt find anything in search so im just asking, what is too much for this little thing? my wastegate line popped off earlier and it held like 17lbs, it was ****ing wicked fast but i dunno if it hurt the motor, or just the turbo? thanks

It's not about what it can hold, but what your fuel system can support and truly it can't support 17psi of stock turbo cfm. You could've very well damaged something and not even know it. Wastegate line popping off+CA18DET+stock fuel system= Cracked ringlands and or melted pistons (You're over the limit).

That is exactly how I finised off my CA before I rebuilt it. Competely stock CA (except for FMIC) at whatever the turbo maxes out at, toasted my rings and caused something to score the #3 cylnder and piston.

You might want to check your compression. The way to do it is listed in the FAQ.

it only ran like that for like 1st and 2nd gear, nothing crazy, u still think that will **** it up?

my wastegate line melted a while back but it only went up to 15 psi. I just stayed out of boost till I go thome and fixed it and I didn't break anything

Yea mine came off somehow or another, but it blew my intercooler piping off before it reached any high boost.
