Ok heres my situation. Last month i got my income tax return so i had some money layin around. So what i got was a Hotshot header (one piece), nology spark plug wires (the ones with their own little ground wire), some silver stone spark plugs, nology little amp thingy for the wires, an injen short ram intake and thats it. I already had a focuz exhaust wil 2.5" piping from the cat. Now my problem is that i can smell fuel from my exhaust. I cant smell it at idle but if i rev the engine i can. Theres no smoke just smell, oh and the muffler has been makeing the back of my bumper a lil black. i got a 95 SE automatic with 150,000 miles on it. So i dont know what it can be . Any comments and opinons will be greatly appriciated.Thanks. :D

well your obviously running rich. my only assumption would be that your oxygen sensor isn't functioning properly. with a 2.5 exhaust you lose alot of backpressure on an NA engine, and you need backpressure to get a proper reading from the oxygen sensor. Run the ecu diagnostic to see if your running rich also check for stored codes.

good guess... im going with that too. go buy a 99 cent gap checker and go check your plugs. rich enough to blacken your bumper is REALLY rich... sounds a bit too rich for just a bad o2 sensor.

Well its not that rich because the bumper isnt that black, but today i put on my stock muffler because there are too many cops in my area all of a sudden. ANd I dont wanna get another muffler ticket. So i think that should get rid of the problem. Oh and i just went out and disconnected my battery for a while. Thanks for ur input people:bowdown
