I am new to Nissan's and I am buying a S14. And I am thinking about buying a SR20 and building it.. After i buy a motor i am going to have about 10-12k left over to build the motor..
So what im asking is
1.whats the best motor to buy
2. is building a motor with 400-500whp with 10-12k possible and having it it some what reliable?
what can i expect?

if your goal is 400 - 500 whp with a 10-12k budget, i would just stay with the ka24de, would be the least hassle.

Why the interest on an S14? When you have an M3 already, last time i checked they were inline 6 and RWD?
