What kind of things can I do to a 1998 Infiniti I-30?I already have a Clairon 200 Watt Head Unit in. I want to put Tints on the car but I'm not sure how dark the Tints should be. If I were to get Subwoofers for it, how big should they be?12s or 15s?Would you guys suggest I take out the bose speakers also?I don't know much about cars but I know I want to do stuff to the car so help me out Please.

looks like you're only talking about stereo related things. Do whatever you want, stereo is pure personal taste. if you want to be loud, annoying and waking up the neighbors everytime you come home go for the 15's if not go for something like 10's at the most. as for the rest of the stock system, you'll most likely have to replace it all with a new after market unit...including speakers. the bose head system is apparently incompatible with changes to the speakers. you should go check out places like sounddomain. Personally I'd rather strap a stillen supercharger on it. :ylsuper

Some lightweight 17" O-Z alloys with 245/45ZR17's would be my first mod.

THEN the supercharger.

I just wanted to let you guys know some Info I found out about Bose speakers, if you go to Best Buy or other stores that install Head Units they will tell you that Bose Speakers wont work with any other Head Unit if it isn't a Bose. That is false, I have a Clairion head unit hooked up in my car. I forget how the guy did it but it can be done so don't let people tell you to spend more money than you need to. It sounds as clear as the Bose Head Unit.

Bose doesn't actually manufacture anything - They're a lab. The "Bose" head unit in your Infiniti (and mine) was very likely made by Clarion anyway.

Hope you didn't spend a lot on the install.:D

I didn't spend anything on the instal. I knew someone who owned a store so I got the Head Unit for 300 bucks. I took a look at the supercharger, I would love to put that in my car but it costs too much money. Great thing to put in for sure. What other things can I do?

Take your time - the low-dollar mods often combine to bring down the overall "value" of the car. You have a solid machine, with lots of street cred - Don't cheapen it by falling for the rice-boy mods that are so popular right now. Leave that for the geeks with Neons, Cavaliers and Civics.

One of the best performance-enhancing mods you can do is buying QUALITY tires. A set of performance tires for that car will really liven it up.

Tinted windows (if you get the right stuff) can really make a car stand out - and it's a smart move for a lot of other reasons.

Remember that a lot of the aftermarket parts for the Maxima will also fit your car. Perhaps a nice catback exhaust system (?)...

Enjoy - and post some pics of your car when you get a chance.
