You'll need to redo the insides of the engine if you want it to last with that much power.More power = More wear. So you need stronger parts.

hold your redneck horses... J/K!

a v8 will net you 300 in stock form,BUT the fab work thats involved can kick your ***. A GOOD tuned ka T will also get you there with fuel upgrades... and and with mostly stock parts, this is arguable though. I beileve you could easily make 250 with a great tune and all stock internalls I mean its been done a couple times..

Well adding a turbo will definitely boost the power to around 250-300 after you strengthen the engine up a bit, but what can you do to push a KA24DE to 250-300 hp without a turbo. what needs to be done for that?(if you wish to know why I'm asking, I want a sleeper.)

ain't happening at all.Turbo will net more power and be cheaper then trying to do a high power non-turbo build.

the SOHC supposedly builds better as a non-turbo but even that fully built is only like 190hp. So if you want 250~300 you HAVE to turbo the ka24.

Without turbo or supercharging or nitrous good luck making that much power especially at the wheels. Check my sig with my mods. Justnto give you an idea of how much work you are looking at.

Ok so if you still want to know heres how, if you go na; get a port and polish on the head, make sure the shop uses a flow bench. Shave the head and block to increase the compression. you'll need to shim the cams, get forged internals and a mild street cam kit. You will need to use a higher octane fuel or an octane booster.By increasing the compression you provide less expansion area for the expanding gases. In turn making more power. this should cost about $4,500.00 .I dont reccomend throwing a turbo on the car because all the necesary equipment will put you out more than 5k, you can always change over to forced induction later. I can help with that if you decide to do it and do it right.
