what can i do to my car to get more power

what is an easy thing i can add to my car to get some more power i got an sr20det in it with 3 inch down pipe and a test pipe im getting a apexi exhaust sometime soon when i get the money but is there anything i can do to my car to get some more power out of it besides the exhaust like i dont wanan spend a **** load of money by getting a new turbo so anyone got any ideas

you'd be suprised open DP with a turbine can be quieter than quite a few catbacks on an NA.

I've heard some loud exhausts, and had a couple open DP cars, and there's really no comparison; open DP is ridiculously loud, and almost always sounds like complete crap.

You need an exhaust, FMIC, boost controller and engine management + wideband. Also, you need to find the SR forum.

Cheapest power upgrade == up the boost. But on the stock turbo, don't go over 13. The turbo is maxxed at 15, so I suggest 13 for reliability sake.

kick easy power, FMIC and Boost turned up to 13 like others have said. You dont need to tune that setup but it would help to have a SAFC or Power FC to get the true power from the boost and Front Mount.

You NEED a FMIC and an upgraded fuel pump to increase the boost. Don't do it without or BOOOOM.

try running a little ground wire also. that is good for helping in the spark arena which will help with combustion and can add a very few notches easy. You should also be looking at ways to put more power down. this could make your just a bit faster, but wont add power just help delivery. stiffer Motor mounts and transmission mounts help the car feel a little better during acceleration.

But for power, you neet to start by getting an exhaust system, cause you choking your car out right now.

Oh yeah, I forot...a JDM steering wheel will give you an immediate 20hp to the wheels and if you squeeze it hard your car will magically perform with AWD.....

just kidding of course.

Seriously it sounds like you need to spend some money on some quality parts rather then doing free/cheap mods that could hurt your motor/turbo/etc.

o ya the streering wheel will 20 damn i better get rid of my momo race wheel then damn and for the vtec im alset with that i dont want anything homda in my car

Ummm...vtec?

He is right about getting quality parts, but for things like ground wire and exhaust systems, most of them will perform almost exactly the same depending on size and bends (sounds will change though) and gauge of wire, etc, but when you look into other parts tuning and quality will become pretty important.
