You could try upgrading... everything. Yeah I'd try that.

Are you running stock exhaust still too?

If you're on a budget you could always buy a manual boost controller and turn up the boost to 10psi.

If you already have the basic bolt-ons, just up the boost with a boost controller. If you want anymore power past 12psi you'd have to upgrade.

Full 3" exhaust form turbo back, electric fans, turn up boost to 10-12 psi (I'd not go past 10 on the stock SMIC), other than that, you'd have to spend $$ on upgrades.

No i am not running a stock exhaust. I have a 3" but everything on the engine is stock. So i can boost up the turbo to 10psi no problem without having to upgrade anything? will it hurt the engine even just a little bit or no? Anyways if i were to upgrade, what do you suggest i get first?

i was boosting 7 psi when i first got my stock redtop. as soon as i switched to a 3 inch downpipe, testpipe and catback exhaust.....the boost raised to 9 psi.

i also went with a really cheap cooling route..------>stock radiator, but with a ford taurus fan. the fan cost about 20 bucks at the junkyard and there are easy write ups everywhere.

i have a hallman pro Manual boost controller from my last ka-t setup. not planing on boosting more than 12 psi.

9 on daily driving and 12 on autox days.

another cheap mod that is probably needed is a 255 walboro fuel pump. 50 bucks

oh and a ebay FMIC for boosts over 10 like everyone else says

hi-press fuel pump if you dont have one already (I heard its really bad to run without one, I Dont know from experience though) then go drivetrain or cooling starting out.

You guys suggest way too much. Chances are if hes on a stock SR hes not gonna have the cash to dump onto upgrading the turbo and such. Also asking what to upgrade to get more power, leave tuning out of the question.

Do the basic first. Intake, Exhaust, Walbro, and Manual Boost Controller @ 10psi. If the car still running good then post back later for more advice.
