I just got some aftermarket wheels and the tire shop told me thatthe wheels did not fit my Zs TPMS.They didn't put them on my wheels. Now the bright, orange, tire pressure light is burning a hole in my retina.

Is there any kit to attach the TPMS on the aftermarket wheels,Or can I get a new TPMS that will fit the wheels,Or is there ANYTHING I can do to get rid of the TPMS light?

Thanks

Try bringing it to Nissan. They might have to disconnect it.

I'm gonna say: either open up your gauge cluster and remove the bulb OR put a black electrical tape over the light. I know not of any aftermarket tpms that would be compatible with the z.

I suspect they are lazy, I believe the Z uses stem mounted tpms, so with the exception of some older wheels that used smaller stem holes, they fit all wheels

I would say take it to the dealer to have them look at it - the TPMS system is federally mandated and it's illegal to try and disconnect it - see if Nissan can mount the sensors on the new wheels, or if there is another sensor you could get for them. I have heard of some wheels not being able to accept TPMS sensors...

Discount Tire will order and install new TPMS on any wheel and for the 2006 Z (mine) they are approx. $300 for the set. I'm sure other tire stores are capable but don't know about any of them as I've only researched DT for my own car.
