The avic-d3 doesn't output rear camera to my headrest monitorsor the music or gauges just DVDs. I have the ipod adapter for it btw.

Can anyone recommend any other units to add that would display anythingto the rear and control an ipod that's not too expensive?

I also have the module to use steering controls with D3. I'd like to setmy monitors to turn on auto when car does & display something besideswhite nothingness.

I don't quite understand what you're looking for here... can you be more specific? are you looking for a new unit to replace your D3?

there is an OEM one that will work for you, but it is NOT the one designed for the fact oryt navigation... that one is too wide and will leave ugly gaps on the sides...

there's a thread here somewhere with the part number for the one you need

OEM texturedouble din opening for "aftermarket-sized double din decks"openings for manual climate control

*remember, the navigation units are only available on vehicles with the premium package, thus the braket for the factory nav would only be useable in cars with automatic climate control

now regarding what you're looking for hardward wise... I would say no... to have something that both controls an ipod, and has RCA outputs that would go to your avic d3 A/V inputs would essentially be another headunit... there aren't handheld devices that control ipods to my knowledge... for what you're looking for, I think you would be better served just getting a better headunit than the avic D3

Thanks. Guess I'll have to research other units till I findone that displays everything not just vid to the rears.

What I'd really like to see if what a xbox 360 can do. Displaymusic visualizations from an ipod hooked up to it's usb.But that's way too much $ & trouble.

sh*t, I cant get the link to work..... just go to http://www.everythingnissan.com --> altima coupe parts--> Instrument panel --> Instrument panel--> mount bracket--> radio

there is supposed to be two instrument panels there.. you'll understand when you get to the website... not sure if you should get the brackets for radio w/ navigation or without... but I would just get all four (left and right brackets for radio w/ and left and right brackets for radios without navigation) they only cost like $3 a piece, so its better to just get em and be safe
