well it souds like as he said metal on metal. It kinda sounds like you water pump pulley is rubbing on something. Do this remove one drive belt and start it. If the noise is gone it has to do with whatevr is turning on that belt, check the component its turning and the idler pulley for it. If the noise is still there move on to the next belt and so on till you have all the belts off. If the noise is still present at that point you could have a chain issue going on.
If you can get it to run longer release the clutch to make sure its not the T/O bearing as well. If it goes away when you release the clutch then its your throw out bearing.
