I dont know mutch about cars... but it sounds like metal scraping against each other... probably something vital like the pistons.. i dunno i just woke up.

well it souds like as he said metal on metal. It kinda sounds like you water pump pulley is rubbing on something. Do this remove one drive belt and start it. If the noise is gone it has to do with whatevr is turning on that belt, check the component its turning and the idler pulley for it. If the noise is still there move on to the next belt and so on till you have all the belts off. If the noise is still present at that point you could have a chain issue going on.

If you can get it to run longer release the clutch to make sure its not the T/O bearing as well. If it goes away when you release the clutch then its your throw out bearing.

well i removed all the belts and it is still there.. also it doesnt have anything to do with transmission, but ill try again today to help locate source of noise and then swap over the front end from my s14 motor most likely

Then if its for sure not your throw out bearing it would have to do with the chain, cam or crank as that is all thats left rotating.

I just listened to it again, Start by pulling your valve cover off and make sure the chain guides have thier plastic backing on them and they are not broke. If the lower guide is obliterated you will get that exact sound as the chain drags across the bolt for the guide.

I know this is going to sound realy lame but it has happened, seen it first hand. Did you press the bearing on in the right direction. Meaning is the moving part of the bearing against the pressure plate?
