I just don't like the aftermarket grill, but there doesn't seem to be any other good ones. They just look like cheap add ons.

I like the emblem, but would like something more bold.

Doesn't seem to be much out there though. It all looks way to aftermarket. Unlike the good body kits, the grill doesn't flow

Didn't Stillen do the grille for cooling airflow also? Seems like I read that. Was there only 1 article published on that car?

I've seen some JDM Q45s with the "grill" cut out. Apparently grill part if one with the front bumper cover. They are one piece.

I guess what I'm saying is without that grill being cut (like it is now) th eonly additional air that thing is letting in, is from a small opening. It's like a grill over a solid piece of body. It's just strange.

If you cut the grill part (part where 90-93 emblem sits when hood is closed) then you have some airflow. However stillen didn't cut this part, the racing shop did, so how much air that can grill possiblty let in.

Not much I guess. Maybe it was done as they knew how the 1994-1996 G50 was going to appear.

I think it would be cool to have a cut and grill for a first gen...

However it seems to me it would make more sense to have a hole...and have the grill slide into the gap

The 94-96 grill doesn't have a hole so to speak...it is the hood is cut specifically for the grill to replace the area.

There is a Q somewhere (I know I have seen it) that simply has a duct cut into the nose.

Imagine this, if you will: The beltbuckle is removed and the notch is filled, such that the nose is now smooth. Then, the nose is cut open and the edges smoothed, so that it's almost like a scoop / funnel / duct.

The best example I can give as to what it looks like is the duct that was put in the bumper of the c5 vette (I think by Lingenfelter) where the license plate would be...

Wish I had a pic to show. It's not classy or pretty, but aggressive-looking, and shows the car means business....

One could even modify that opening to create a serious and DIRECT ram-air type setup, as the majority of the radiator/condenser airflow comes from UNDER the bumper anyway (look at the "ramped" piece behind the lowest "grille" below the bumper....

p.s. Glad to see you guys on some common ground. Props to both. :)
