I am going to save you from getting flamed, SEARCH ;]

the consensus is altima cams is just a myth, since you already have a S13 dohc (240/248), your choices are:

PDM racing cams http://www.pdm-racing.comJWT cams http://www.jimwolftechnology.comnissan motorsports cams - there's several sites that carry these, just search around.

Search for dynos, there's at least several.

I think the 91-93 all had the same cams... or at least I've read ppl claiming so according to the fsm... I'm really not sure on this one, but I don'tsee a reason why 91 cams are different from 92-93s.

91,92,and early 93's had a little more aggressive cams. But were replaced by more timid cams in late 93 for Emission purposes.(same reason why late 89's and 90's have a lower compression then early 89's.)

I also heard that the late model s13 have the 232/232 setup...I think this is true cause my 93 sure feels like a slug!

you sure? I've read quite a few places that say that 91-92 had more agressive cams then 93 and up.

The current concensus is that the S13s w/o the secondary intake butterflies have the milder S14 cams...232/232.

"goomba240" has it correct above...

Half the '93s had the SCVs, the later ones didn't.

my gripe is that i cannot find anything to support this. surely something as drastic as a cam change in the middle of a production year would prompt nissan to put out a tsb or something. i've looked into it, and i've had a tech i know look into it. we can't find anything.

i've also read the rumor that all convertibles had the 232/232 cams. i believe that's false too. i've driven an s14 (i know a seat of the pants comparrisons is far from accurate) and even with the extra weight of the convertible it has a better top end than the s14.

someone's going to have to show me some actual proof that S13s have 2 different cam profiles.

Haha. I was under the impression that the 91 was the only year it was 240/248

Oh well I guess it was an urban myth

ive always heard 91 cams were better and also ive seen many 1/4 mile sites that show the 91 is .2 seconds faster than the other years. Also ive beatin other 240's with similiar mods. Here is a site with 1/4 mile times. http://www.albeedigital.com/su....htmlTHey are a site that has nothing to do with 240's so they have no reason to lie.

and apparently they have no reason to be accurate either. that site lists the same quarter mile time for a 95 S14, and there's no such thing as a 240sx se-r.

94's are just left over 93's, so I have a sneaking suspicion that they share whatever cams they have, and I believe from driving many different years of 240's, that all DOHC S13's are the same.
