I'd go with tomie 270 procams. Stay away from BC cams. The tomie and HKS are worth the extra $100 IMO.

Inconsistant machine work, cam timing issues, you get what you pay for and IMO the Tomie or HKS are worth the extra money. Some people have had good results with BC cams but many have not. If I was putting the kind of money you are into a SR I would spend the extra $100 for piece of mind. P2M cam off $50 on their tomies for me because I told them MYSr20.com had them for $440. Tomie 270's if I were you. The HKS 272's only have 11.5mm of lift compared to 12.5mm in the Tomies.

Would it be worth running something like a 264,272 combination to bring in the power alittle earlier or will i loose top end power??

One, you should search, this has been covered a thousand times, not to mention there's a post about this like 8 posts down.

There is a cam fact-thread and pretty much tells you what cams to run with what turbo/mods.

272 is going to be way too aggressive with your setup depending on turbo ex housing size. I'm not a huge fan of staggered setups anyways.

The tomie 270's will be all top end and for drag racing with your setup. I went with the 260's and I feel they are the best all around for my 2871 .64 ar.

They are correct....we used some bc cams until we found out that they were anywhere from 3-20 degrees off of 0 from the factory! BTW 20 degrees is 1 tooth on the chain!!!

Spend the extra money

270's powerband is pretty much from 5000-8500rpm. You really dont need the 270's unless your going GT30R or larger. I always match the Duration with the Spool of the turbo and higher the Lift should give more power.
