Based on your experience, what brand/type of clutch you recommend for 1995 240SX and location to buy it. I use the car for daily driving and some autocross and drifting events.

I use a ACT Street clutch. Works fine for me at events. No need for a 6 puck CF race clutch.

I'd spend some more time looking at clutch technology...

If you are staying stock the Exedy Stage 1 is nice. I am going to maybe even use it for a KA-T low boost setup.

I am slanting to the FX300 by clutchmasters though as I am targeting about 300RWHP.

i broke a spec stage 3 clutch with my fully built sr with a t3t4 on 18psi... i had an exedy stage 1 laying around and threw it in b/c it was all i had...

the clutch held up great, especially with how much power i was putting down... it eventually gave out but it held for alot longer than what i expected.

exedy is great in my opinion but i have also used a few act's... no problems with them either. never put them under the stress of the exedy tho.

If you aren't making much power stick with a street disk and leave it at that. The solid hubs and puck disks are not necesary unless you are making huge amount of power and launching a lot.

For a daily driver you don't need a puck disc.

I will be doing occasional Autocross and drifting events. Other the price than the difference in price, would suggest the puck?

Street Disc will be fine. I know that ACT's will hold up fine on the track. If you get a puck disc you will get a lot of chatter.

I would go with the Exedy! Great clutch for what you need now and later as well....

What do you mean by a chatter?

when releasing the clutch, you will feel the motor and transmission vibrate and feel it on the pedal when releasing. I have a puck clutch from Father and Son's and it does it all the time. If noises and rattling are a nuisance to you, i wouldn't recommend going with a puck. It does great on the launch once you get it right. as for autocross and drift, i wouldn't know. Im still learning.

If you are not doing anything crazy, buy stock Nissan parts. It'll run you ~$300, but you are guaranteed to have the same feel to the clutch, once it breaks in.

If you want the mack daddy with super light pedal pressure and can hold 360ish torque get the Blitz single plate.....comes with light flywheel and the whole shabang! It can be upgraded by adding an extra disc later if needed to hold extra power. Look to pay about 900-1000 for it. I have it and I think it is well worth it if you can afford it. The pedal is almost easier to push then my stock toyota paseo.....it makes the driving experience wonderful!

You can get it from erics performance parts 877-772-0338
