[Alpine, Pioneer, Polk, and Infiniti are all great companies to go with, Alpine and Infiniti are gonna be top shelf, Pioneer is gonna be cheaper and get a very good sound]If you are set on 4x6 I say go with Pioneer they always make great 2 & 3-way speaker. Good luckOutToWinPAHC wrote:None to small of an area, I have never seen a pair last. Get a set of componets, you will be happier.
Good choice! I made these pods a while back when my factory 4x6"s took a dump. I'm going to vinyl them, but they are painted right now to at least look decent and make some noise. They are attached from behind, to the door panel, using the stock 3 screw holes so that I can bolt the factory 4x6"s back in if I ever needed to. Check it out!Uberck wrote:ok so i will purchase 2 sets of 6.5 component speakers making 4 speakers total
He speaks only of the truth...I ran 3-ways up front w/o even missing the back speakers much...I see you made a decision so let us how it works out for you...PoorManQ45 wrote:Music is meant to come from infront of you.
Go to a concert. Where are the musicians? In front of you.
This is why more often then not you'll see people that only put component speakers in the front, and coaxials in the back. The back is just there for ambiance.
The front speakers are what really create the "image" of the music.
This is why I recommend that you upgrade the fronts first.
There's no reason not to upgrade the rears to the same speakers either. It's just that sometimes it's not needed
