What brand speaker fits in the back?

I've been told they were 5-1/4. So I picked up some eclipse 3ways, but the mounting holes are no where near lining up. There isn't even enough room to drill new holes in the panel; there isn't enough metal.

I put 5 1/4 in the rear, they came with a plate and worked prefectly. Have heard 6.5s work back there as well.

I never noticed you had MBQuart's. Great speakers, or at least I know they were when they were made in Germany. Not really sure about the new ones.

I had MBQuarts in my car until they were stolen Now I've got JL ZR's

Mine are 5 1/4 as well, but needed a little work to get them to fit without hitting. I think 6.5's could work, but they may not clear the interior panel.

6 and a halfs work just fine. I have pioneer 3ways in the back of my vert and the fit perfectly, no mods at all.

I have 6.5 MB Quart rear speakers as well, the German made ones. I haven't installed them but have test fitted them and they look to fit fine. Once I finish my sound deadening install they will go in. I went with 6.5 Audiobahn fronts and soon as I get a small enough sub box I'll install my 12" Rockford Fosgate P3 sub. JL Audio 4-channel amp for the fronts and rears, and an Alpine V12 mono amp for the P3. Should sound a lot better then the stock radio...hehe.

The doors are 4x6, unless I have encountered some kind of crazy modification. Judging by how hard it was to get the door panel off, I don't think it had ever been removed. Besides, I took out a matching Clarion that was in just as bad a shape as the rears...

Yeah the front door speakers are 4x6's but you can get adapters (from eBay) to fit 6.5's in the doors...like these:

Problem with 4x6 speakers...they don't make many and most don't put off great sound...at least the one's I looked at didn't.
