So, as we've been working on our Z and finding a million little things (and a few thousand big ones) that need repair, one thing I'm trying not to let us overlook is the suspension. I think it's pretty well shot, and needs new struts and springs all around.

Unfortunately, everything we can find is lowered, or twice the price of normal ride height. As I have a '94 Infiniti Q45, I'm well accustomed to Tokico and have a set of blues on that car - but the blues I'm finding for the Z are lowering. The set I've found is just under $340 for all four shocks and springs, which isn't a bad price - but we're in an area where things can get pretty bumpy, especially the curb we drive up on to park in our side lot at the house. We already need to replace one bumper, and I'd rather not go so low that we need another one.

Does anyone have suggestions for a brand, and a source that we'd be best off looking at?

I had a set of Tokiko Blues with Eibach lowering springs on my Z and never had a problem for scraping. It was dropped 3/4 of an inch IIRC. Now I have Powertrix coilovers though, but they are out of your stated price range.

Our price range isn't limited that much, but I just checked out Powertrix and they definitely do look outside our price range right now. With all the money that needs to be spent on rehabbing our poor Z, we do need to keep it a little more stock/pedestrian grade right now.

It looks like we're going to be aiming for a new full-body paint job a lot sooner than expected, due to being unable to find a good supply of Duplicolor in KH2.
