I had the JWT PopCharger and Z-tube intake in my 05 G35...the R2C is 10x better! Quality is top-notch and the install in my G37 was a breeze. The Stillen is also an option...but it uses oil filters.

Check out the net for the comparison and charts...but they're all pretty much the same.

That pic is for 07-08 g35 dual intake. there is also no way that price is $129 either for the dual intake.

Polished and black powder coat finishes are also optional.

Edit:
Ok I just noticed part number for that intake which is just filter and heat shield and oem tube would be utilized. It is for 03-07 g coupe or 03-06 g sedan.

Hello all,
Has anyone had any problems after installing any of the cold air intakes with the "engine lite" coming on and staying on? Also, I too wish to upgrade my cold air system, and ofcourse there are several out there. Are they all pretty much the same or is one or two better than the rest. Suggestions please.

Thanks
ShadowG

No issues with my G37 and I never had a problem with my Maxima and aftermarket intakes for 7 years.

There are different intake and filter designs.

Intake types: http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/automo ... asics.html

From a filter perspective you have oiled or non-oiled. K&N is an oiled filter type and there have been plenty of issues with them causing MAF issues due to over oiling. They are also not the best at filtration. Most dry filters can be restrictive and can't be cleaned. R2C is a dry filter but can be cleaned without being restrictive.

I luv my Injen long tube intake. Has an oiled open end filter but never had a problem with the check eng lite. Just have to be smart about re-oiling them and not get in a hurry. The filter sits in front of the drivers tire and with the removal of a small piece of plastic you have a direct shot of air into the filter. Only downsides to that are 1: you get hotter air due to the road temps in the summer 2: the filter picks up more debris and dirt sitting that low.

The other thing I like about this intake is that it is a 2 piece, designed to be used as a short run tube also, just remove the lower tube and attatch the filter in its place.

I didn't care that much for the Injen I had in my Maxima. Sure, it had more noise during acceleration but the filters got dirty pretty quickly and without a bypass I was very watchful of deep water.

With the R2C's they are protected and still look new after a couple months use.
