What brand head gasket

I'm buying a new head gasket soon and have decided which thickness i would like ( stock or 1.2, still thinking which one) So what brand would be the best buy to go with, i heard the greddy seems to have leaking problems, but what about the apexi or hks? If there is a forum post i missed on the sr20 please post me the link.

Apexi / Tomei are the best two built.

from wut i've heard/read the apexi seems better than the greddy/cometic. It's more expensive but u usually get wut u pay for. Ill be going with the apexi when i can do it. -people have blown out the others and havent had a problem with the apexi.

so who ever has used the apexi, tomei hg didnt have to use that copper spray stuff or gasket sealant. And just to double check stock hg is 1.1mm?

I used copper spray on every head gasket that I installed. It helps with the imperfections on the block and head surface.

I have torqued and took off the APEX headgasket about 5 times now and its still holding strong... Try that with an El Cheapo headgasket...

Oh and make sure you get ARP head studs with it... much better than stock torque-to-yield garbage bolts...
