I'm gonna install an ACT street kit, maybe a fidanza flywheel, SPL SS line, and remove the dampener soon, and I was wondering what brake fluid i should get for the system. I know ATE super blue is good, but its expensive and does it matter with the clutch?

agrees, for the price, synppowaa rocks!

plus w/ the damper bypass, u can change your fluid annually!

this fluid doesn't oxidize <turning black> as fast as regular DOT 3/4 fluid

& it's on sale today <last day> Big bottle @ my local advance auto parts store for under $4 Woot!

still as hygroscopic as any brake fluid though, so keep a tight lid on it

Yup, picked up a big bottle for $5 today. I coudn't justify $16 for ATE SUper Blue when I just need a little for clutch fluid. I'll save that for when I redo my brake system. Thanks for the replies guys!

i cant see the point for high temp fluid in the clutch. any regular stuff should work. the enemy here is the seals rotting.

Bingo. There is no point in running fancy fluid in a hydralic clutch system since you're not generating any significant heat. Regular DOT3 will do just fine.

no, i know it doesn't need some *bling bling* brake fluid in the clutch system, but u missed out on some major points.

1) alot cheaper than redline or other brands

2) we buy the big bottles to be used in our brake systems as well... so why not add that to the clutch system too?
