what bearings should i use?

I personally use Clevite 77s. I set my clearance just below the maximum allowable clearance set by the FSM.

It has been over 1.5 years and still running strong even with occasional 8000+ revs.

ok now where did you find them for the sr every place i can find is either small or big block chevy

FWD SR20DE uses same main and rod bearings

Mahle Clevite 77 for sure. There is a reason that almost all of INDY, NASCAR, ARCA, NHRA and IHRA motors are built using Mahle products. They can get any product they want and they choose Mahle.
