im rebuilding my rb26, and this is the list of goodies, cp .20m pistons , 850cc injectors, power fc , sinlge turbo, stage 3 port and polish, cometic gaskets , and poncams .

now my question is what type of bearings should i be using for this type of setup, i was looking at the regular nissan rod and main beaings but not sure if they will take the power ( looikg to get up to 600hp topps ) or if i should be using a different type of bearing for this?

any input would be greatly appreciated

thanks

OEM replacement should do.

Any idea who / where to get the OEM bearings? Sorry to dig up this old thread. I had called Shay @ NismoParts.com and it would be like 2 months to get them in. Thanks.

If you are only shooting for 600 hp on that motor, I would steer clear of the Cometic gasket. Go with anything but Cometic. I don't give a FUC* how much cheaper they are. Trust me on this one man I'm assuming you will need more than 20 psi to get to 600 hp, so try HKS, GReddy, or Tomei. I doubt the OEM gasket will get you there.

As far as bearings, go with either ACL or King or OEM if you can wait it out. It is more about installation than material when it comes to bearings.

Is there that much of a noticeable difference between King and OEM?
