Odessy PC 680.If your car needs to be started more than like 5 times without running then this is not the batt for you.

I have nothing in the car. no AC, fan, heat, radio, nothing power. But I know I do have a short somewhere. The brake lights are constantly on.

But other than that, I've drained the batt a # of times and always charges right back up.Plus only paid $60 for it.Battery.com or something.

I have something similar to that as well. Tails stay illuminated constantly, even with the key off. It drained an (at least) semi-charged battery in less than an evening. It is something that I will have to look into after I get my harness back. Let me know if you get anywhere with it.

/thread jack

I'm looking at just a basic (Silver or Gold series) from Advance or AutoZone most likely. My dad has fried two or 3 Optima Deep Cycle (Yellow top?) batteries on his street rod (rarely driven, but has a battery tender on it, and it _still_ refused to charge). I will never purchase one. Waste of $200+ IMHO. Yea yea yea, I know, I'm opinionated.. so what

how many more times would i have been stranded with a battery i couldnt trust

point being i think for a DD you should get a good battery. never had any problems with the optima red, did have problems with autozone batteries though

I've got a Yellow top in my altima I drive every single day.Leave the stereo (stock) on for hours while I'm working on the car, and it starts right up, no hesistation at all.

I think I might put an optima in my S13 anyway because I have some super secret electronics going in soon. >:-)

redhead chix are wild in bed....lol

oh on the side note,a crappy autozone $40 battery works fine many years for me . it's in a box in a trunk so i dont have heat problem---maybe that's why it lasted longer.

the optima is rated to have all these number of cranking power, but do you sit there and crank your car 20 times on each start up???

I went with a Braille Auto Development Battery. You can find them at http://Brailleauto.com Not to sound too commercial, but they make the most compact/lightest multi purpose batteries on the market. So light they even became the OEM supplier for the Ariel Atom2, the world's lightest production car. So if you hit the sample problem I did and saw your intercooler piping go through your battery pan you'll want to go with a small Braille unit.
