I got the hks ssqv, VERY VERY LOUD. I use to have 2 on my car and had to remove 1 because it use to just blow off way to loud. Now it is still extremely loud but tollerable. The sound is really nice. Flutters with low boost and screams at high boost. No other bov sounds close to this one and with the duel gates and diaphrams it will hold boost most reliably. HKS SSQV all the way!

I have a Blitz and its freakin loud. Medium and low boost it flutters like crazy and high boost it makes a big whooshh and them flutters afterwards. Great investment, but alot of people are against venting to Atmos.-Alex

I'm running the stock 20 recirc valve and I don't even think it works! (Been running it like this for a long time, it just flutters quietly instead blowing off. weeeee =\

If it is recirculating then of course ur not going to hear it loud at all. The flutter caused by the blitz and hks at low boost is caused by partial opening of the valve when the pressure isnt enough to force it open fully so the air kind of slips out slower and causes the diaphram to flutter. Sounds cool.

I am running the Blitz on my 20 and I like the loud deep whoosh that it generates. But about the flutter I rarely ever get any. Once in a while with very slow easy driving. How far did you adjust the valve in? Anyway I like it. I also have the the Greddy Type s on my 25 (recurculated) to keep it quiet but you still here it. I would have to say I like the blitz a little more better sound dont get the little whistle sound or what ever you would call it.

i ordered the greddy type-r, it allow you to do open-air or recirculated---it handle high boost better than the ones mentioned above.

Tial? All blow off valves do the same thing its the way they vent that differentiates them. Theres really no difference when it comes to tial, HKS, Blitz. Its all in your venting sound preferences. A blow off valves isn't something you hve to be to picky on its not going to increase horsepower. All it does it keep the turbo spooled when you shift. BOVs are just things to make you look "Cool".

BTW... where in Oakland county do you live? I live in Walled Lake, got any pics?-Alex

well, i am fully aware of all these things. i've read stories of different Bov's leaking. im sure you are familiar with andy at autowerks? afterall, you know the godspeed guys. andy tunes on their dyno from what i understand. anyhow, he suggested the Tial to me. he claims its the highest quality piece he has used and that he uses it on 100% of the cars he builds turbo kits for. i have come to rely on him for good, accurate information. the HKS is a tad too common for me. my buddy has them on his Z32. he loves em, no problems with them. another buddy has a HFL on his 2G GST. again, no problems or complaints. i guess what i am getting at is the part about it being a quality part, that isnt mentioned too often. thats all.

i live in oakland township. 7 miles north of downtown rochester.

this is the best picture i have. the car is at the shop. engine has been ripped out, and new one is sitting there waiting to be put in.

im hoping by august it will be on the road and running. i just need the bullshat miscelanious stuff. IE FMIC, exhaust, etc.

Tail would be a good BOV if you had a standalone. If you don't you should recirc the air back, Your car will like you for it.

well, ive considered this. even though you cant recirc the TIAL, the car will only be driven for a few short months. then its back to the shop for a turbo upgrade. im looking to make around 400Whp. going with a standalone at that point. good looking out though.

TurboSmart Dual Port BOV is nice becasue you can recirc and vent a little for better tuning.

Yeah I know of Andy, I heard he does good work but not so much his shop. I'm pretty sure he has Dan tune all of his cars. Tials are good units most def I'm just saying when it comes down to BOV's most of them do the same thing they just sound different. Its kinda like saying Konig wheels are better than Volks, just comes down to personal preference. Hit me up when they get that car done of yours. Mine runs it'll be on the road in 3 weeks. i am pretty confident in the work they do. andy put a B16 into my civic about 2 years ago. no mechanic errors to date! they take care of me pretty well. andy and his 525 horse power accord just make me laugh when i see the car. again, i am pretty confident everything will go relatively smoothly. you ever see the R33 GTR they had?oh, and i want to see this beast of yours when you get it finished!
