Mine are at 26-2700 at 70 and was just wondering if this seemed high.

2400-2500 at 70 seems about normal, at least on my 2002 (different engine than yours, so that may explain the discrepancy).

You should notice the torque converter lock as well which will drop the rpms about 200 at 70 mph.
