To people, with kat's and wideband. Im using an safc to tune, and innovate wideband. What a.f's do you have at idle, under boost, and during slow decceleration. On my car, I have 13-14 at idle, so it doesnt smoke alot, under boost it stays from 11-13. But when slowing down in gear ill get wierd ratios like 20-30 or like 8 or 9 when i slowly accelaerate after letting off (im pretty sure this is fine) . What are some safe guidelines for, idle and under boost you guys go by. Thanks

I'd watch the AF's hitting the 13's on boost. As a rule of thumb for me, I never like to go past 12.7 on pump gas.

Kinda what he said... but I wouldn't even go past about 12.0 or so on 91 octane. With 93 I'd be a little more lax on higher 12's... but when it gets really hot and you are pushing high 12's things can go a little wrong. Ive gotten slight detonation that way.

Idle just shoot for about 14 or so. Also teh decel thing will be smoothed out and look better if you tune for partial throttle as well. Cruise on the highway and do some tuning to, just make sure that w/e your corrections are on the AFC that those throttle settings wont let you go into boost. Thats the only downfall of the afc is that its set based on rpm. Cruising you can reap good gas milage and nice clean burns shooting for higher numbers like 14, but just make CERTAIN that you dont hit boost with a/f 's like that... put the low engaugement point on the afc relaly low to help ensure that. Happy tuning!

i have my idle at high 14's to low 15's same with my cruise. on decleraction that is normal to run lean like that. gettin to 8 or 9 tho is a little weird. you probably have to play with your dec. air. settings. while boosting i keep it in the high 11's. but im using 93 octance som maybe ill try to keep it to low 12's until it gets really hot out

no leaner than 12.0 on pump gas. thats for safety--running any leaner can take away the padding you have for ****ty gas, or hot days, or hard runs over and over again. plus between 12.0 and 12.5, you maybe will lose 10hp--its worht it for the safety.
