I'll probably get something like that, but I kinda want to get him something else too. My budget is around $300.
Ideas? Are you guys getting your dads anything?

Maps are downloadable from parent sites of GPS models.zerepdivad wrote:I'm probably going to get him a gps for their upcoming vacation to visit relatives in mexico. Gonna have to be a tomtom since it's got mexico maps built in.

It doesn't need to be depressing.AZ89two4Tsx wrote:I'm sorry guys. Didn't mean for this to turn into a depressing thread.
I have an inexpensive Garmin and it works well. I also have a suction cup windshield mount that will sometimes eject the garmin, but only on really bumpy roads. On a long trip to/from New Hampshire this past week, the only time mine ejected was in and around NYC, otherwise, no drama with it.AZ89two4Tsx wrote:Kinda off topic but on the subject of gifts, when I go visit my mom up in Seattle in August before school, I was gonna buy her a nice GPS system.
Any suggestions on those? I have a cheap TomTom and it sucks because the windshield mount would always fall off the windshield.
You can send me something, I'll talk to ya.TroubleBound wrote:I might call my dad for Fathers Day. He only picks up when hes cracked or methed out though so i will see how that goes. And my moms husband...will probably get a gift card or something thoughtless since i never say or hear a word from him.
Shows how much you care. About half as much as yourself. Nice.Nismoaniak wrote:i bought myself the 194 piece tool set from craftsman at sears,.. its on sale for like 80 bucks,.. and i got him a 99 piece tool set for like 50 bucks? lol he has tools i dont so he gets the mini set :p
I have a Garmin that is right about 95% of the time. The other 5% it's right, but it takes you the long way to where you are going. We don't go anywhere without ours. It does a lot of cool stuff, tells elevation, avoids toll roads, construction, etc. Also, get her a road atlas. You never know when the satellite signal will fail to connect.AZ89two4Tsx wrote:Kinda off topic but on the subject of gifts, when I go visit my mom up in Seattle in August before school, I was gonna buy her a nice GPS system.
