Hi

I stripped the interior of my 1995 pathfinder to clean and maintain.Under the carpets in driver and passenger footwell benieth pedals is a heavy moulded rubber that covers the whole area, I presume to help protect and muffle sound from engine (???).

Mine was completely perished and falling to pieces so I took it out on both sides. I am now looking to replace but don't know what these pieces are called.

Any ideas or a link?

Cheers

sounds like it was just a rubber mat that is used for sound deadening.

Companies like Dynamat make similar materials for universal application. They usually come with a foil barrier to also help reflect heat.

Here is a link to their catalog. I think you are looking for something similar to Dyanliner or Dynapad. But be forewarned, Dynamat is proud of their stuff and this can get expensive.

Other companies make a similar product geared toward car audio, but I'm sure there is non-car audio focus material out there.

Hi

Thanx for the help so far.

Cant seem to find anything like it. I was pretty sure whatever it is it looks stock and part of the car from factory. Could be wrong but its molded and even fitted behind the wiring harness as it goes into engine both sides. From the floor up to instrument panel behind pedals. Same on passenger side.

Start by asking your dealer. Worst case you spend a little time. Middle caseyou get the name and maybe part number (be really alert when she showsyou the image). Best case you might get a deal, or it's less expensive thanyour thought.

Consideration: Nissan rubber stuff is usually pretty good. What happened?Water? Salt water? ???? I'd take a good look a the metal underneath.
