Im trying to narrow down the problem associated with the cut-out issue of my car.

I bought my Z32 MAF from local junkyard, the car seem to idle and drives normally just like stock.

Only issue I have is now when I boost over 10psi, the cut-out would started to occur at 6000. The higher boost I go, the sooner it cuts off.

What are the chances of me buying a bad MAF? I assumed most of you guys are running used MAF just like I am.

Can you list out the syntoms and problems of bad MAF so I can see if I really need to buy a new one.

Thanks!

Im unable to boost any higher than 11psi with GT28R or it will cut off around 4800rpm.

Would this be one of the syntoms and its time to get a new MAF?

If you check the FSM, it gives you the procedure for checking the MAFS.

I do not have the factory sevice manual, my 180SX is an imported vehicle from Japan.

Is there link I can refer to?
