Im trying to narrow down the problem associated with the cut-out issue of my car.

I bought my Z32 MAF from local junkyard, the car seem to idle and drives normally just like stock.

Only issue I have is now when I boost over 10psi, the cut-out would started to occur.

What are the chances of me buying a bad MAF? I assumed most of you guys are running used MAF just like I am.

Can you list out the syntoms and problems of bad MAF so I can see if I really need to buy a new one.

Thanks!

Idles OK, but can't rev past 2500 rpm MAFS or MAFS wiring problem

radically high or low maf voltage. what is the maf voltage at idle, boost, and during the cut out?

The peak value of the MAF voltage was only 3V, which is no where near of its maxium flow capacity 5V.

Im still thinking whether the MAF is acting up on me, or there is other reason for the cut-out.

I would see if the voltage on the MAF is moving up linearly, you can do this by revving the engine at idle and watching the voltage.

idle maf voltage should be somewhere around 1 volt.
