Not the best pictures but I hope you can still make it out the general area. I think I used grade 8 bolts.

Did you do that all by your self?

I did use help here and there but I did about 99% of the swap myself.

Nissan actually sells slingers for hoisting the engine. They cost like $10 each. This is mainly for hiosting the engine though you can get the transmission out with elbow grease. Here are there locations:

Thanks, for a year straight all I did was replace Detroit Diesels at all hours of the day and night. As painful as that was, it has made working with 4 cylinders so much easier.

I just used the intake and exhaust manifolds. If you don't have a leveler for your hoist I highly suggest you get one. It makes the task infinitely easier and in my case, a 1 man job.

ya know, i just dropped an sr sunday evening using a leveler for the first time and it was more of a pain than without one.

I normally would use 20 ton tow straps. they craddle the engine. I rap one around about 4 or five times. Hook the two ends to the hook on my hoist and voila. it leaves the transmission low, but I dont have to do all the extra cranking and I just used a floor jack on the transmission side for the install. I keep the back of the car up high (suv jack stands) and the front low and it just goes out and in with ease.

This time it took about 3 hours with my wife helping. That was just dropping the SR. Normally by myself without the leveler and it would take about half the time and I would have it bolted up about three to four hours.

Levelers are not for me, but almost everyone I know swears by them.

How did you align the leveler? From left to right across the engine or front to back?

They are definately still available and in stock from Nissan. Order over the net, Part numbers are 10005-53J00 and 10006-53J00.

Saying its not available in the US was that guys easy way out considering its the same slinger used on FWD SR20DE's in Sentras and G20's. I got mine through Pinnacle Nissan:

I used a bolt location on the head, just behind the intake manifold and one just behind the cam angle sensor. Do you think that was the problem?

EDIT: i did not use the rear point in the above pics. The rear bolt hole did not give me good clearance at the firewall. I was dropping an s14 into and s14 also. I never had an issue with the s13 swaps, but I never used a leveler either.

dude....thats like walking in on your parents having sex and asking your mom where the hell she put your shoes.... No...start your own thread...its easy

btw. you can get a clip, or you can piece it together, but all of that stuff is readily available either way. It just depends on how you want to set up your ac and whether or not you want ps.

I didn't want to start a thread for such a simple question but thanks
