Lowering springs are dumb for the track. Especially if you want to be a "drifter" like you stated in your other threads. And even if you do get lowering springs, you'll need new struts too. If you keep the stock ones, they will be blown VERY quickly.

Save up for some coilovers. Or even pick up a set of used coilovers. Just make sure they aren't blown as well. There's no comparison to lowering springs and coilovers.

One more thing, post in the right section next time.

^ We were joking about cutting your springs. Don't do it.

A coilover IS a strut and spring, all in one assembly. Idk if that was just a typo or what though.

Look into some other brands. Tein is a little overrated imo.

Megan's go the lowest I hear. But it's definitely not about how "low" you can go, it's about the quality. Megan is pretty far down the list, but they are some of the cheapest. Many people run them with no problems though. Or as I said, pick up a used set.

I run a set of JIC's myself. They are of VERY high quality. No worries with them.

Focus on getting your car up and running before you start upgrading anything.

Just say no to settling for half-assed. The money you spend on lame springs could be put towards the coils that you actually want.

Don't do twice what you only need to do once. Save your money and do it right the first time.

And why Tein? There are tons of coilover choices besides them. And many are cheaper than their comparable offerings...

Idk, I don't hear much about them. I think my wheels (SSR) are made by Tanabe.

Look into Powered By Max. They seem to be really popular right now. And most say they are of great quality.

ANYWAYS, quit getting me to do all your research for you! I've given you good stuff in like all of your threads. Do your own searching! How do you think I learned? SEARCH SEARCH SEARCH.

I have a decent set of Meagan's on my ride, they dropped the car about 3-4 inches from stock height. I had to adjust the height so I could get out of my drive way. Low enough for you? lol

Although I do miss stock ride height now and again... speed bumps suck.

I would have to agree with you AZ save your money and get some adjustable coilover set , i made the bad decision of buying tien springs and tokico shocks set its not a bad stance but you will definately prefer the coilover, plus the money you spend buying the spring and shocik set seperately you could have saved easy 100$ for adjustable coilover set...

If it's a track car like you stated.Get JIC's or Stance Coilovers. Pro a** coilovers, Stance are the s***. To me atleast.Megan's are great for the price but since its a build.. I don't think you should worry about money.Builds in my eyes; don't have a limit. Proper builds atleast. ;Dbut since your dad's buying you everything you might want to save him some cash so he can buy some dinner for your family for the next month.
