What are the differences between teh KA24 and the CA18?

I've heard they are pretty much the same motor, so that got me thinking, would they be about the same in regards to how much motor work can be done before things start to break?

the motors are night and day different

but in regards to your inquiry, they can both take a considerable amount of stress before things start breaking. the CA can take a bit more due to it's being designed to be a turbo motor.

I dont quite agree on that but i'll stop there.

They are both cam on bucket, and they both have iron blocks. Those are the main similarities I can think of at the moment.

They are quite different though. The CA uses a timing belt and the KA uses a timing chain. Very few parts are interchangeable.
