what are the component differences in the SUSPENSION of the sport and nonsport?

i've searched and most of the threads degrade to a discussion about 18" vs 19" inch rims, aluminum vs wood trim, or headlight housing colors but what i'm trying to figure out is what are the actual component differences?

is it simply lower springs, bigger wheels and rear active steering?are struts different?sway bars wider/stiffer?are there any other changes to the geometry?

eventually i'd like to upgrade my nonsport suspension and i'd like to know if there are different strut options to match to aftermarket coils.

it's also odd that i see many whom chose the sport option complain about ride quality but not those choosing aftermarket springs. i suspect that is primarily due to the selection bias obviously.
