What are the chances of this working on a LHD car?

You could you cut the wastegate pipe and refashion it to clear.

I was thinking more about the turbo placement. Moving the wastgate line is relativly simple.

What does a TD06 compare to in size in a T series turbo?

I was looking at that manifold but I'm not sure the wastegate is the problem. As you said, the wastegate is easy enough to change... and unless it hits the steering shaft it looks like it has a decent chance of exiting the engine bay untouched anyway. The turbo placement, from what I can tell, would 100% hit the steering shaft, I don't see any way around it. The turbo looks like it mounts nearly all the way back by the firewall, I don't think there is room there for that. I could be wrong though.

i have the trsut manifold, i'll postmsome photos after lunch but i may eb able to fit... look at my recently added photos under the blue or red valve cover thread... you may be able to see from there

Well from the pics of your car, I don't think it'd clear a LHD car. I'm not gonna waste $200 to find out though either.
