I'd put the front hood deflector on, I have it on my vehicle and it looks awesome and is very functional as it saves your paint from rock chips and bugs. There are TONS of pics on this site, as many people have gone crazy with add-ons like the chrome front grill, chrome door handles, chrome door pillars, new rims, rear spoiler, interior dash kits, etc.. Take a look at all the photos and decide which ones you like, because everyone has different preferences!

I would do the chrome grill, hood deflector, spoiler and chrome door handles. The more a Nissan looks like an Infiniti, the better.Just my personal preference.

The only reason I don't like the idea of the front chrome grill overlay (I was considering adding to my Rogue) is because the grill is going to get lots of rocks and debris hitting it, and once the chrome gets nicked up it looks like hell and there isn't anything you can do about it. If you leave it as it, at least you can use touch up paint to cover up the rock chips on the painted grill, and even if you just leave it the paint chips are no where near as obvious as chips in the chrome overlay. My opinion, chrome is nice initially but over the long term it will look like crap and I'd stay away from it - once it's damaged you can't repair it and you'd have a hell of a time getting it off, probably not even a possibility.

Hey kerrton, I've had my chrome grill since Feb. 08. 40,000 miles later it still looks perfect....

Yeah I could be wrong, I don't have experience with this particular chrome piece as a lot of you guys have, I've just seen other vehicles with stock chrome pieces on the front that got really dinged up, but you guys that actually have this installed would be the best source of info, glad to hear it's holding up well for you over the past year!!

That grill does look good on any color of the car. Just like it came from the factory. Since this is S model and it doesn't come with tinted windows why not make a trip to a local tint shop? Since your rogue has clear windows you have a plenty of choices to go from cheap tint or more expensive (mirror) tint like marquise or 3M. Maybe by then you decide to put nissan logo or something else under the tint for rear window?

I've had enough chrome on my Fords over the years. I am just enjoying the clean, simple lines of the Rogue. I won't be adding anything unless it has a functional purpose.

I added the rear bumper protector (kids hockey bags) and the winter mats which are the best winter mats I've ever seen. They are very well made, go right over the top of the summer mats and fit perfect.

Nissan released a technical bulletin a few years ago advising NOT to put winter mats over top of the OEM carpeted ones. Reason: The accelerator or brake pedal can get jammed under the carpeting.

I would check your Rogue to make sure this isn't happening.

Hi hfox659... While gathering feedback from other Rogues owners helps in the modification decision process, follow your gut... don’t let other people decide what you should or should not do to your Rogue. If you want to install baby moon hubcaps and paint giant flames down the side of your Rogue... “Have at it.” What really matters is what “you" think looks good. What "you" like!

If you read through this forum you will find member who debadge their Rogues and strip off all the chrome for a really clean look, members who install all the chrome they can find and then there are the ones that fall somewhere in between.

As far as chrome accessories go, check out this thread for plenty of photos:zerothread?id=421141

Then there’s always the wood dash kits:zer...86806

Personally, the wife and I went with the chrome grill from Nissan, chrome door handles from SES Trims, Body Side Molding from Sportwing, and 35% window tint on the front windows by 3M. (back windows are 20% from the factory) Just FYI: We didn't install the body side molding for looks or styling... we did it because we HATE door dings! BTW... (the side molding is also available in chrome.)

Thanks for the great reply, Like I said this the wife's SUV, This is her first time that she actually did her home work and research to get the car she wanted.(I've always pushed her in the direction I wanted to go.) I'm a really a FORD truck guy. I've had every type of Truck since I was 16. My father worked for ford almost 30yrs.The wife really wanted this SUV and it was between this or the Altima. I'm not really a fan of cars. But this Little SUV has some power and I was empressed, although she wanted the fully loaded one, she realized it was way out of our price range. So she was happy with the S. even though it really doesn't have many options. what could I say. Since My wife all ways see me doing things to my truck, She kinda hinted she would like to fix up her new SUV. She likes the chrome grill, Did you get it on Ebay or nissan? Is it hard to install? , the side moldings are nice i like that I don't like door dings either, where they hard to intall? how did you get them level.

I going to keep my eyes out for some factory rims, and some visors with the mirrors and that should be it.

Thanks,HFox

The OEM visors with mirrors are very expensive if bought new... over $240 apiece. Try searching the auto salvage/recycling yards.

Thanks phil, I took the carpeted mats out of the car as soon as I read this, makes sense. The dealership actually put them in this was and told me I could do that so I'm going to send them an email as well.

I am surprised the dealer did not know about this. Here is the text from the tech bulletin straight from Nissan:

Quote »Bulletin #: NTB05-014ALL SEASON RUBBER WINTER FLOOR MAT INSTALLATIONAPPLIED VEHICLES: All NissanSERVICE INFORMATION

The All Season Rubber Winter Floor Mat should be installed on existing carpeting, never on top of another floor mat. DO NOT install (stack) the All Season Rubber Winter Floor Mat on top of any other floor mat, to avoid interference with pedal operation.[/quote]

Um, I would. There really is no need to keep the OEM mats underneath the Weathertech's. I also found there is barely enough clearance as-is to slide the seat forward... doubling up would make it impossible.

However, I left both the OEM and Weathertech's in for the rear seat. They just seem to add some additional length/protection underneath the seats.
