one cheap, easy way to gain some power (or mileage, depending on your driving) is to add 2 - 3 oz of acetone per 10 gallons of gas. you can get acetone wherever paint supplies are sold, including autozone. this will clean up your fuel system very well, and it gives a little more umph. i have seen a noticeable difference in smoothness, idle, and acceleration.
note: i use it every time i fill up. when i don't, i notice it.
another thing that is cheap and easy is to put a small hose on your distributor cap vent, and run it into your manifold somewhere after the throttle body. this will suck out the ozone (o3) created by the arcing. O3 burns more readily than O2, thus slightly improving combustion efficiency.
note: if you do the ozone mod, it is necessary to drill a small hole in your dist. cap to let fresh air in. Otherwise, the vacuum created in the cap may pull oil from the crankcase. you dont want that.
i have performed both of these on my own 240, and i can say from experience that they both work well.
ps i found these from a mileage website called mpgresearch.com
