Yea, my Bimmer has it. When you turn the car on, it goes down and up to the adjustment. I think it even corrects it's self when your driving up hills and stuff. Kind of cool.

On the F50 it's made so that you can avoid using high beams. If you're going down a dark backroad where there's no street lights, you can just adjust the knob up to 2 or 3 instead of using highbeams. Some newer model vehicles actually level the lights automatically to be even with the driving surface, yet make them so they won't blind the person coming towards you.

Actually, the lower the number, the higher the beam is pointed. I leave mine at 0.

Leave it on '0' normally. If you start loading up the car with people or luggage, keep turning it up until the lights come back down to normal.
