what are symptoms of a clutch slave cylinder going bad?

I just replaced my clutch about 1000 miles ago and my release point on my clutch seems to get higher and higher every few days/week somewhere around there. I have a 98 240sx with manual transmission. I put in the act heavy duty pressure plate with the street disc. I never changed the slave cylinder. So I am wondering if my problem lies in the transmission itself or the slave cylinder. Thanks

Peel back the dust boot and see if it's wet. Slave cylinders have virtually no other symptoms.You may also try bleeding the system again, and make sure that the height adjustment through the brake pedal pushrod isn't blocking the bleed port inside the master cylinder.

Sounds like a clutch master problem. How does the fluid look?
