Me and my friend took the exhaust manifold off his CA18 swap tonight. We wanted to just take the turbo off to put in a turbo gasket since it didn't have one (stupid previous owners). Well there was no way in hell to get just the turbo off because of some plate that had guards or something built around the bolts, so we just removed the whole exhaust manifold. There is no way I want to go through that again (unless someone can give me some tips) so I wouldn't mind going top mount. I see SS Autochrome has a kit for $375 but I know they've got mixed feelings towards their products. Just curious if anyone else knew of a good one or had a used one for sale possibly. Another reason the SS one is halfway alluring is because it's a t3 footprint for a wider selection of affordably priced turbos.

Well from their webpage. They only have a kit listed, has the mani, wastegate, dump pipe, and all the hardware and gaskets. I might just use a stocker, I was reading on how a lot of the SS top mounts are a pain to line up just right due to it interfering with something. I might have just settled for a GT2871R or a Disco Potato and use the stock manifold. I wasn't also figuring in the cost of a custom downpipe when I was thinking of top mounting a t3/t4.

i had just bought a vband clamp from ssautochrome and it's the wrong size!!! i think they're still on ebay under a different alias, "murano-nutty", no t3 manifolds though...with what i'm going through now i shoulda bought that kit that they sell on their site for $375, it think was around $250 on ebay before shipping and they're only a day away...rotten bastards!!! they get you hooked on low price, sorta junk and then leave you desperate for more...such a shameful display, anyone for a petition to get them back?

anyways, the t3 manifolds on ebay all look the same in the pics, at least i couldn't tell the difference through the fish bowl that is my computer screen. you can get the etd-something one for $89+shipping and it's got all the **** gaskets and bolts plus a fifteen day, no question warranty(all-riiight!!)...i'd let you know how it was but my life is circiling the toilet bowl right now...so, yeah, i wouldn't pay anymore than you have to for one, you could almost get two of those etd ones for the price of some of the other's...and if you care, externally gate that *****!!! good luck and i hope this helps, i know i feel better...

Has anyone seen top mount manifold other than this configuration? It would fit RHD cars but on LHD it's gonna hit brake cylinder I'm afraid with any decent size turbohttp://cgi.ebay.com/ALL-S13-18...wItem
