I'm torn between getting just a front suspension bike or a full. I heard the rear suspension takes away from the pedal power but is more comfortable? Does it really and is it noticable?
didnt know nissan made bikes haha

Yeah, this does need to be moved to OT or something.

But to try to go ahead and give you some info: yeah, the rear suspension will take away pedal power especially when climbing -- more-so on the cheaper full-suspension rigs. However, if you spend some cash on a nice ride, I believe a lot of the higher end brands have started designing them so they don't take as much power out of your pedal. I ride a Litespeed Niota Ti that has an adjustable rear shock that is easily switched from a stiff ride to a nice cushy ride with the simple switch. You can adjust it on the fly depending on what kind of trail or which side of the hill you're on. Though, if you're asking a question like this, I doubt you're looking to spend the extra money to get a good quality ride.
