Hey guys I did a search on this but I couldn't find anything, so sorry if this is a repost.

I'm thinking of buying a set of Tein Super Street Coilovers for my 1999 Acura 3.2TL sedan. as seen here: http://www.tein.com/ss1damp.htmlSo I was just wondering, what are pillow ball mounts? Should I get them? The car would mostlybe for street driving, maybe some track driving once or twice a year. Thanks in advance.

The pillow ball mounts use spherical bearing and are made of aluminum or steel iinstead of the rubber that OE mounts are made of. There will, obviously be less flex in this mount, and according to those who have them slightly more road noise.

On some applications, the mounts allow easy camber adjustment in the front.

A pillowball is a spherical rod. Metal bushing. Heim joint. etc. They are used in suspension where adjustability is needed. They take the place of solid mounts, rubber bushings, etc..

On nissans you can find them replacing Tension rod bushings, Strut mounts, toe links, tie rod end, ruca bushings, etc.
