Welcome to NICO, mate. Gonna move your post over to the 350Z forum, you'll likely get better responses there.

Buy an exhaust for the way it sounds and looks. There is very little difference between any of the exhausts power wise. The HKS Ti is very nice. Its just a matter of personal opinion.

As for headers they really aren't worth the money or trouble. They provide little gains, and you can spend upwards of $500 for the install alone. Its a job most people don't want to do by themselves who have little experience with cars. They are a biatch to put on the Z.

Welcome to NICO. There has been many debates on this. I would suggest searching threw the 350z forum. I had the same question not to long ago and desided on the stillen true dual after research and feed back from alot of other members. From what I have gathered from others and my own research any dual exhaust will do as long as hit has an H or X pipe, those will net you around 14 to 18 hp at the wheels. The others will get you 10 to 15 whp. If you need to hear sound clips go on youtube or look for my other post in the forum reguarding the exhaust question.

You never mentioned what year Z you had this could help with your questions.

Good answers so far...

My opinion: There are only 3 choices...HKS, INJEN (NEW), or STILLEN. I ran the first Stillen they shipped for 2 years and moved to the HKS which I love. The new Injen is bad-*** and priced under $1k so, that is what I would do.

Just dont buy a Borla...

Those are more manufacturers claims stated than anything. A realistic gain is between 5-9hp on avg for most exhausts.

Yes this topic has been covered a million times on here. The Hks exhausts are great. I'm going to either go with them GRaddy and get the SP2 exhaust. I installed headers on my V6 tiburon and they were a pain. If you take your time at it, it shoudn't take to long.

For most people I have seen on my350z depending on the headers its about a 12 hour job at home. For headers like Crawford they seem to be a little harder and take a little longer.

I like the Stillen true dual one or the new Injen.

The new Injen is a good exhaust, great price/quality/sound. Im personally going with a single exhaust (Greddy Ti-C). If you dont mind spending a little more than the injen you should check out the Data Systems Basstar dual exhaust in Titanium. The thing with that exhaust is that it takes 4-6 weeks to get from Japan. rumor has it that each exhaust is hand made when you order it and individually numbered. .. not sure if thats true thou. (~$1,500 for the titanium and ~$1,000 for the stainless steel). It looks great thou.

I would have to disaggree with you on the manufacur claims since I just saw a guy with the hks system on his 06 being dinoed with nothing else and he gained 16 hp right off the bat. Yes I agree that you need to becareful of what the manufactures tell you to buy their stuff but a little more faith I think is required in companies like stillen and hks.

Here is the link for the Data Basstar True Dual Exhaust. http://www.Intensepower.com is a great place to buy from, everthing that I have bought for the car has been through them. If your looking to spend arond 1,500 and you dont want to wait 4 to 6 weeks another good exhaust to think about is the GReddy EVOTT Turbo True Dual Exhaust. My best friend has this exhaust on his Z and let me tell you, it is amazing. looks and sounds great. Sure its meant for FI because of how big it is but its still a great exhaust. Thats my two cents. keep us updated on what you finially decide.
